“Austin Block Commits to University of New Hampshire”
Austin Block could not be happier that he chose the Titans to play AAA hockey in the 2006-07 season. After leading the team to a Regional appearance, Block went on to play Juniors with the NAHL Fairbanks Ice Dogs. After getting his feet wet last season, Block led the league in scoring this season and was voted the NAHL Offensive Player of the Year. Block’s performance in the NAHL earned him several Division 1 scholarship offers, with Block committing to the University of New Hampshire for the 2009-10 season.
Block said, “I knew the Titan organization had the Junior and college contacts I was looking for and they were focused on player development and exposure. I’m glad they had as much faith in me as I had in them.”
Block will spend the summer training with the Titans and helping educate players regarding Junior and College hockey before reporting to UNH to start camp.
“Titan Defenseman Ciaron Driscoll drafted by USHL and Listed in WHL”
Ciaron Driscoll had a whirlwind 2009, as one of the Titans top defenseman this season. At the conclusion of the season, the Titan organization arranged for Driscoll to practice with the WHL Calgary Hitmen, where the Hitmen “listed” him after the first day of practice. This week Driscoll found himself the USHL’s 80th draft pick by the Des Moines Buccaneers.
Driscoll said, “Last season I had plans to play for another club, I wanted to play 18AAA but they wanted me to play at 16AAA. The Titans believed in me, gave me an opportunity and I cannot believe how well things have worked out.”
Ciaron’s dad, Kevin said, “Two years ago Ciaron was playing Bantam A and today he has good options in the WHL and USHL. We are thankful for the development and personal attention the Titan organization provides to its players.”
Driscoll is a ‘92 who played for the Titan 18AAA team this season and through his maturity and focus became one of the team leaders. The Titans expect several players to advance to Junior programs this season and with the Club being accepted into the North American Hockey Tier I Prospect League for the 2009-10 season, the Club expects even more exposure to Junior programs for Titan 16 and 18 AAA players.

A Titan 18 AA Mothers Story
Last night as you may know even if you weren't there, our boys lost their final game keeping them out of the playoffs. I don't think that any of them expected it, but the locker room was an emotional mess afterward- all of the boys crying, saying the most amazing things to each other, the coaches emotional as well. My kid came home wiped out with a stunned feeling that he's finished. Most of these boys have played together for YEARS -since inhouse mites!- and now, they are done and most of them are aged out or else moving on to college - quite simply, they will never play travel hockey again. How did this happen? I blinked and it got here.
I'm reflecting this morning that EVERY drive to some sh**hole backwater place, EVERY day of school missed to fly off to some tournament, EVERY early morning practice was worth it. I NEVER doubt that. It was all a such gift. Watching my son play hockey with his friends was some of the very best moments of my life. I can't believe it's over.
So I want to thank you, so very much, for all your efforts and time on behalf of these kids and what it has done for them. It is appreciated so very, very much.
